I'm sick, got flu

I'll get back to you as soon as I'm fully well. I got a sudden flu Tuesday evening. I'm on leave for work for two days now. My head aches so badly and my eyes painful to see. I also have cough and this pain my body. Last night my body temperature was 39 so I decided to see the doctor this day. Fortunately, after taking the medicine, my body temperature lowers to 36 back to normal but still feeling weak and coughing continues.I got this flu from my students who entered my class to take the preliminary exam last Tuesday at 1:30- 4:30 many cough and 9 of them have flu. I told them to take special exam but they refused , when I arrived home , I noticed my head ached terribly and body in high temperature. @Bensen32 , Hi? I no longer have flu this time, but still have slight cough.You are right, my body needs rest. I am teaching good for 33 hours a week and only have Sunday as my rest day, Sometimes I bring home some works undone in school to home.I hope cough no more. yes, my friend, you are very much right. Those sick students must stay at home and rest and take medicine. Actually , students do not tell if they have flu. I only get a hint after their constant coughing. I did get the virus from them. It is not easy to bear the headaches and the coughs.What a shame. I separate my things at home fr there are kids. I wear a mask at home to protect the young kiddos. Thank you so much.

@JudyEv, Hi Judy? Thanks for feeling me. I am happy flu no more after taking the prescribed medicine but I still have slight cough. Hoping this cough disappears after taking all the medicine for cough. I miss to see the clever doe.

@1hopefulman , hi Felix? I no longer have flu this time but cough remains. It's not as successive as before. This day, I felt so ashamed in class for I coughed. Thankfully, I wore a mass.

@1hopefulman so true. It's truly bad if there are kids at home. I have one niece age 2, two nephews ages 7 and 9 . I wear a mask at home and separate my utensils to avoid contaminations.

It’s the start of flu season. It sucks I had it twice once in November and then again in January. Thankfully it was weeks part.

@cacay1 even with treatment it some times takes another 14 days for our body to fully recover. It took my 2 weeks 7 days for the flu the pass, and another 7-14 days to feel normal again.

@ShyBear88 , oh, sorry too, to hear of your previous flu attacked. I had flu four years ago and it resume to attack last Tuesday.I no longer have flu this time after taking the medicine the doctor prescribed, but still having a slight cough. Fortunately this cough disappears after taking the prescribed medicine. Thanks for feeling me. Take care.

@kobesbuddy Hi? I no longer have flu this time only slight cough remains. I hope it disappears next day for I have to report to work. In fact, I may report to work tomorrow for I have Saturday classes , two
subjects at 3 hours each. I may just give my students seat work. I won't lecture afraid to cough in front of my students.Thanks my dear and take care of yourself, too.

@thelme55 , Thanks Thel, I do. My sister found an herb in our backyard and she let me drink it and feel cough slowly disappears. In Surigaonon term it is called " Kayabo". In CDO, it is called " Kalabo" It seems a wonderful plant. My cough seems fading away. I thank the Lord.

@Bullshark, Hi handsome? Thanks for the wish. I am flu -free now , except the slight cough which I have to dismiss next day. Coughing is not an easy thing. It is also irritating. It likes to having a showdown when people are around.

@cacay1 - I usually take some Echinacea Purpurea to prevent the flu from starting.. There are some good products in health stores..

I also had one last week. I was absent Thursday, Friday and Monday this week. Cough and colds are so much trending this past days as I see myu co - workers having one too. I already have it checked for Dengue in case but the results turned out negative on me which is a good news. I still feel light headaches and body aches as well but I feel much better now and my cough is subsiding already.

@cacay1 No I still have cough but its much less right now than in the past days. My wife has it at first then passed on to me then I got fever already. Then last Monday she got reinfected and got fever too so she is the one back home and on sick leave from work.

@rsa101 oh my God. The virus is just roaming around in your home. At home, I wear a face mask to protect the kids of my niece ages 2, 7 and 9. I separate all my utensils to avoid contamination. I also soak all the utensils at home with Zonrox , small amount of water and liquid soap. I spray the sala and other parts at home with Quick to kill the virus before going to be and no more people in the living room.
