Summer is Almost Over Here

Hi everyone! I haven’t been around much, because I have been soaking up as much of what is left of the summer as I could.
Besides playing tennis, golf, and pickle ball, I’ve been busy with my friends. We’ve spent much of the last couple of weeks together going out for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, to spas, manicures, pedicures, and to dinner parties in restaurants and at each other’s homes. I hosted a lovely dinner party in my home on Tuesday night.
Photo is of my granddaughter at the Dream Hotel in Manhattan visiting out of town guests. Both my grandkids started school last Thursday. However, my grandson had to miss school on Friday. He and our son spent last weekend in Boston for ice hockey games. My grandson had to get a ride home back to New York City from a teammate’s father, since my son had to fly out of Boston to Orlando, Florida for business.
The funny thing was that my younger son spent the weekend in Boston with friends the same weekend. So you can see my entire family has been busy doing what we do best - enjoying life.
I shall myLot as best I can. My husband and I just returned from the eye doctor and had our eyes dilated.

It’s good having some time to myLot again. I was always too exhausted in the late evening to even think of going online.
It’s been very hectic, but we had so much fun. Thank you! My granddaughter loves the water.
Yes, my grandson was the goalie for all the games he played. One team wants him to play in Finland, but my son put his foot down on that idea.

@just4him Yes, it’s an honor. He is on three different teams and is very good. He played in Wisconsin a few weeks ago.
I’m really beat, despite good night sleeps. Yet, I always wake up raring to go. lol
We only have our tickets for going down to Florida. We leave the first week of December.

And your entire family ended up in Boston, this month
I hate getting my eyes dilated, it's hard to focus for about two hours afterwards! She's enjoying the swimming pool, what a cutie:)

@kobesbuddy My husband drove us home with his regular sunglasses. I left mine at home, so had to wear those ugly paper ones. I hope no one saw me!

@DianneN After having his eyes dilated, Jay drove home with cardboard sun glasses on! LOL He won't let anyone else drive, when he's on board:)

I miss seeing you around Glad you popped in. We are camping been camping since the 4th of August getting ready to go home Saturday though. Hope to see you around more. Nice picture

Yes, yesterday was Friday night date night.
Today was walking and tennis. Just when I sat down to myLot, our son stopped by for two hours.
Now, I have to get ready for dinner with friends, Sigh....... I shall be back!

Kind of hard to see the MyLot small print with those drops haha! I've had that before and wow I couldn't see for awhile and had to get someone to come and drive me home. lol!

I was thinking about you yesterday (of course I think about you all the time) but we got a notice from our township that they are going to be putting in pickle ball at our local park. As soon as I heard it I thought of you and how we were all wondering what the heck is pickle ball.
Glad you've been having fun and squeezing in as much fun as you can while the weather, etc. cooperates.
The Ice Princess looks like she's having a ball floating in the pool.

@DianneN - We had a very busy summer, too ... in addition to spending four months living in a hotel. We are finally back home, again, and I have had to put everything back in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, after our slab leak. We also had to put our furniture and oriental rugs back in place. Meanwhile, while we were staying in one hotel, we took several trips which involved staying in other hotels. We spent some time in San Diego with our youngest daughter and her family, when they were here from Delaware for a Chemistry Conference her husband was attending. Even though I am still putting things away, it is soooo good to be back home.

@DianneN - It is such a relief! We stayed in a hotel which is just outside the gates of our retirement community, so it was convenient. I was still able to go to all my normal activities, yoga classes, beach walks, etc., so that was ideal. However, after four months in a hotel, we were both definitely ready to go home!

Oh, yeah I kept guessing that you must be busy. But good that you had good family time and that's very nice of you to host a dinner at your house..
