I must be. I keep going rip-it rip-it rip-it! Anyone who does cross-stitch knows what I'm talking about. I really hate having to rip out stitches that I've done because things aren't working out as they should. You'd think I'd never cross-stitched before. I blame whoever printed the pattern. Yeah, it's their fault, using symbols that are too similar in the same area, and then printing the backstitching guide over top.

Aw.......we don't get such printed patterns out here. :) But I do understand your situation. My late aunt used gunny sack and some cheap thread to make a carpet. Back then we didn't have television nor computer. So it was a good time pass. Problem was it couldn't be kept in place like a carpet. So it became a wall hanging instead. LOL

My sister and mom were really good with cross-stitching but it's not something I've ever tried. I hope you can get through this pattern without wanting to rip your hair out.

When I was a young girl I would do a lot of cross stitching. I would get so frustrated because it would not look uniform and I would have to rip-it. Ugh!

When I was a young girl, I just did "regular" embroidery. I didn't start counted cross-stich until I was an adult, after first trying needlepoint and crewel.

No, most of it's done, and if I find a mistake, I rip it out and redo it. Ususally doesn't mean having to rip everything out.

I always started in the middle of a plain piece if CS fabric. I haven`t stitched in 20 years.

I do, too, on smaller pieces but I had to put this in sideways in the scroll frame, and it had a squared-off border, so it seemed best to start at one corner and go from there.

I never could concentrate on cross stitch but I would hate to have to rip things out.

The thing is, this isn't such a complicated design but I keep making mistakes. I don't think I made even one when I did that big angel with 96 colors years ago.

I used to do a lot of cross-stitching at one time but then I got tired of trying to do all those patterns just right. I hope you can figure this out and get it right.

I am very weak in stitching. Now my hubby bought a swing machine and stitched the clothes himself. I never used this machine as I don't like to stitch anything.
