Waiting for Call Backs, Not Jumping for Joy

I arrived home to find that "yes" the internet connection had been moved.
"No, I did not have a new router/modem combination, and none of the set up was done on our computers.
I called customer service. I did not yell, scream or cuss. I spoke in my exhausted very tired voice. I spoke of my frustration. She took my phone number.
Eventually I got a call back from Tech support. Upon examining the records he saw that the Boost upgrade had not been put in as an order. I told him I had been told that I would get a discount on my next bill. I told him I STILL could only get online by unplugging the ethernet, direct plugging my desktop in. Hubby cannot get on his computer.
Customer Service set me up with the earliest next appointment for my community. Next Wednesday. Tech support will try to pull some strings and get me a service call tomorrow or the next day. AND more credit on my bill for my trouble. . . which I have not seen yet.
So, I will be in in the morning before work, as usual. See you then.

@GardenGerty We also had to call when they "upgraded" the line. We had a slower connection then before, they upgraded the line and forgot to change the LAN entry line.

I hope so as well. Yes/no the wifi does not work but if I plug correctly, the wifi works for my laptop, but I cannot get on my desk top. The router is shot, I believe.

i despise these companies more'n i can pen here. i do hope they credit yer next bill 'r give ya a freebie fer the month. incompetence, one ought not be 'llowed to sell a product/service if'n there'd be nobody local to tend 't.

This company is better and less expensive than most around here. People who write service orders should actually write the orders they say they are writing.

I will be surprised even to see a discount. I do expect the landline charges to be removed for sure.

Nope, did not happen today. I am still glad to have the computers in a small air conditioned room. Less dust for them, better climate control.

Well, they were nice enough to return calls and track down what had happened. If I could have been home, it still would have come out this way, but I would have known why.
