Queen Elizabeth II statue in my town.

Yesterday while waiting for my wife at the doctors I decided to go and have a look at the statue that was placed in the town where I live. Initially it had been commissioned to celebrate her 90th Birthday but instead it was unveiled to celebrate her being the longest reigning British monarch in the United Kingdom. There are already statues of Queen Victoria in the town and a clock tower in her honour following her death in 1901. Previously Queen Victoria (The Queens Great Great grandmother) had been the longest reigning British Monarch. There are still some five more milestones to reach before Queen Elizabeth becomes the worlds longest reigning Monarch. First place currently goes to Louis XIV who reigned for 72 years 199 days. She has currently reigned for 67 years 219. This means in just over 4 years time if she continues to live she will become the worlds longest reigning Monarch at the grand old age of 97. There is no indication that she won't reach that age she still appears to be strong and healthy.

I wish her to reach that age and to become the worlds longest reigning Monarch. She still looks very well, I am sure she can do it.

@garymarsh6 I think it will be a big change in your country, no one in her family will ever be like she has been for all those years.

Well we can live in hope. Her great great Grandmother lived to a ripe old age and her mother lived to 102 so she has a lot of things going for her.

Well, Prince Charles already holds the title of longest-serving Prince of Wales, somehow I get the feeling his son will be the next monarch to serve for many decades. The Queen is born of strong stock.

I've heard the job of a monarch can be very taxing @garymarsh6 I'm currently rewatching 'The Crown', it's very enlightening.

Well If he outlives the Queen and he is still well and able to He will become King. I don't doubt that. He is taking on more and more of her role as she gets frailer!

She can on occasion be seen riding around Windsor Great park. At one time she used to ride sidesaddle but these days I don't think she does!

She sure has a good chance. She looks fantastic. I want to get a plate of her one day to add to my little collection of the royal family. My mama adored the queen.

She certainly seems to have good genes going for her. Hopefully, I will be around to see her reach the world’s longest reigning monarch.
