I was surprised to find out that Doris Day has been mentioned many times in various pop songs. Let’s take a look at the list of some of them.
The Beatles in “Dig It” mention “the BBC, B.B. King, and Doris Day”
In his smash hit “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” George Michael sings “you make the sun shine brighter than Doris Day”
She is mentioned in the Billy Joel song “We Didn’t Start the Fire”
In “Wrap Her Up” by Elton John she is mentioned along with Brigitte Bardot and Billie Jean
I give you The Beatles and “Dig It” a song I had never heard before.

Dig It was improvised during two studio jams in January 1969. All the Beatles contributed to the song lyrics. The tune ends with 'And now we'd like to do 'Hark The Angels Come' Always enjoyed that song ending which leads into the song "Let It Be."
