Life changes by the moment....be prepared!

Sometimes the changes that happen can be insignificant and sometimes, they're literally life changing.
We've had a lot of changes lately, but thank God they've not been truly life changing. We're still praying for our daughter and hoping that this next procedure will help, and then the last (we pray) surgery.
Our 16 year old grandson, Nathan got his driver's license this week. So far, so good. I think I'm more nervous about him driving than I was with our two children years ago. Not sure if I'm more aware or just realize drivers are more dangerous now.
Anyway, we've hopefully got everything repaired/replaced from the generator saga. The last thing is to buy a new ice maker. Thank the good Lord we got the fridge repaired and don't have to buy a new one.
This morning we planned to visit a church we went to last week, but found out they only have services twice a month. So we went to a Church of God we attended for many years when our kids were growing up. It was nice to see some old familiar faces.
We went to a local steak house for lunch which was a yummy treat. I couldn't eat a salad and my husband couldn't eat the bread. It's too bad we don't have the same dietary restrictions!
But God is so good, He's with us whatever changes happen in life. Hope y'all are having a blessed Sunday.

He seems cautious now, but they can get too complacent.

I hope you're doing well today! =)
I love going out to eat but we don't do it often-we believe since God gave His son that we should be radical givers also so...if we can't afford to tip what the bill is we don't go.
Did you know most waitresses say Sunday is their worst day for tips and they get the most mean people as customers? Isn't that awful since church goers are usually the ones to eat out on Sundays?

As Christians, we should remember that we represent Christ in every area of our lives.

God is good and your right about life, it throws all sorts of things at us that often we are ill-prepared for and yet with faith, we move on.

i so hope yer daughters surgery goes well, hon. i bet she's wishin' they'd put a zipper, she's 'd so many.
folks 'round these parts drive like there'd be no laws, so don't blame ya fearin' fer yer grandson bein' out'n the road.
wonderful news 'bout bein' able to fix the fridge. hopefully the icemaker'll not cost too much.
glad ya found a place to worship today. i've the dietary restrictions, the hubs none. 'tis not pleasant when one's celiac disease, 'r e'en a gluten intolerance. eatin' places seem to be clueless 't the risk 'f cross-contamination. i aint dined anywhere fer 'bout 8yrs now. e'en those with a 'gluten free' menu don't seem to care. i'd eaten 't the olive garden, 3 bites'n i started to feel mighty ill. lived'n the loo fer quite some time. when i finally made 't back to our table - i saw a 'normal' noodle peekin' 't me. yup, they used gluten free noodles - cooked'n a pot 'n strained with the same colander they use fer their other pastas... ended 'p sick fer 8 days.

@1creekgirl 'tis highway robbery :( folks like myself cannot 'fford to purchase the flours oft, so do without quite a bit. i've gotten to where jest the holidays 'd be when i get some. ya know, coz my sweet momma frets when i can't eat what all 'tis'n the table. i make myself stuffin' from my cornbread (i've yet to figure how's to quarter'n egg?, so make a half batch) 'n sorghum bread, my own dinner rolls 'n gravy. then she rests easy, lol.

I've read it's really dangerous with cross contamination if you have Celiac. I can understand how you wouldn't want to risk getting so sick. The Crohn's I'm sure makes it even harder for you. I'm thankful my husband just has the intolerance to gluten...I'm finding some good recipes, though. I love the idea about a zipper, I'm sure my daughter would love one!

@crazyhorseladycx Even though more people being aware of gluten problems has led to more products available, it's a shame it's increased the prices.
