As I mentioned in a previous post, the most difficult part of the current speaker restoration I'm doing is replacing missing veneer on one corner.
In this photo, you can see the piece of veneer I cut from my supply (just to the left of the scissors), and the glue I used to put it in (Gorilla Wood Glue).
I'll try to remember to take a photo of this corner when it's been sanded flush, both before and after I apply oil.
A side note: Horse Jr. has watched me do so many restorations, and even helped me with some, that he could "take over" my business at 10-years-old if I got run over by a pickle truck this afternoon.

What are the odds of being run over by a runaway pickle truck? I'm always wary of being hit by a bus, myself.

Heh, one time when I worked in Oakland, I almost got run over by someone who had just murdered someone and was fleeing the police on San Pablo Ave. Then, to add insult to injury, I was almost run over by the police car chasing him.

@TheHorse I was almost run over by a "big kid" on a bike when I was coming home from school one day...

Glad he could take over, but try not to get run over.

By example, you've probably instilled a love for restoration in your young friend. Something like that, and playing music, will hopefully help keep him off the street when he's older - or if you should get run over by a pickle truck.

That is good news, you have taught him one skill, so far, he can make money at.

Seriously, it's good your young fella is learning your craft. Stay away from those pickle trucks.
