I have two new pet friends. I named them Chris and Pat since they would not tell me if they were boys or girls. I tried taking photos but they were too dark. Chris is the friendly one, will come up on my desk and listen to me while I talk babytalk in gecko. I am glad to have them here. I miss the other ones and wonder what happened to them. Do you ever talk to wild things? What are they? Have you made any of them your friends?

We do not have Geckos here, we have plenty of lizards, I gave the name to a couple of them because one always is on my balcony and the other near the strawberry patch in the garden.

@akalinus I called one Hazelnut (this is the color) and the other Croco (it is similar to a crocodile, green and pretty big).

What did you name them? They sound pretty friendly. Chris likes to stay in my window most of the time.

There are a lot of lizards in Florida. We call them geckos. They like to come in my place and hang on the wall and watch me work on the computer. They are not really pets. They come and go as they please and find their own dinner. They just seem to like company once in a while.

I love geckos. We don't have them here, but there were a lot of them when I lived on Guam.

That's great. Did they hang around your house even though they had lots of space outside?

Vince talks to the kangaroos and it does seem to calm them down sometimes.

@akalinus No but they will stay where they are and just watch as he walks past. It would be pretty cool if they did hope around in joy!

Plants grow better or produce more flowers or fruit when you talk to them. One of my kids talked to plants. She had a name for each one of them. "Good morning, Howard. How are you doing, Mildred?"

Chris and Pat are fine for either females or males. I saw a lizard when I was looking around a Mayan ruin in Mexico. Last year I traveled to Madeira where I saw some lizards. They went running when they saw us come along. I talk to wild and pet animals.

Yeah, I think it is good to talk to them. I think everything gets lonely once in a while.

How kool. The lizards around here just run off if they detect movement and rarely to I get a really good look at them ..... I do know that one of them is some kind of muddy brown as it streaks away. I used to try to talk to a grackle but I don't see very many of them anymore.

I have read that they are on the endangered species list so perhaps there just aren't as many around here anymore @akalinus hopefully they will recover their numbers.

If I petted an animal, I would talk to it. It would be nonsense probably, but I would talk.
