I heard this song today on the way to work and it made me laugh. My X was from Kentucky and I use to play this song all the time. She really didn't like the song and didn't like me playing it. It was king of a teasing her kind of thing. It's been a while since I have heard this song and just made me laugh. This is one of the bands I have seen the most times. I first seen them and had second row seats, center stage and it was awesome. I have seen them a total of 6 times. Another one of those bands that I don't think have a bad song, just about every song to me is a hit. Do you ever hear a song and it takes you back to a time that you just can't help but smile? I love when that happens. Hope you all have a great day.

Old songs always bring back memories, some funny, some happy and some sad.

oh so true. I love it when that happens though. I listen to a lot of old music and it just when I hear something that i have not heard in a while that it reminds me of so past memory.

Certified Deep Purple and Ian Gillan fan here, their song bring me back to a carefree life, " hakuna matata means no worries" when my father was alive.

@louievill LOL, right, man those were the days. What is your favorite song by DP? I love Child in Time. I don't know what it is really about that song but I have always loved that song.

Yea, those were the days, when we had nothing to worry about and just fully enjoyed life and the music that surrounded us.

Yes, many songs take me back. My husband always liked Deep Purple. I didn't really start listening to them until he and I got together.

It's nice to be taken back in time through the songs we used to hear regularly.

Yes it is, to remember those things we kind of forgot or pushed back in our minds.

They were so good, I heard they were doing another concert tour, not sure when but I would be interested in seeing them again if they are coming near me.

Deep Purple first recorded it in 1968, it was a remake of a song by Neil Diamond who recorded his version in 1967. Both a little before your time, but then again I was born in 1969 so I guess a little before my time too.
