What did you have for breakfast today?

I got away from my traditional lox and cream cheese on sourdough for a few weeks. Not sure why. So I bought some fresh (well, packaged) lox and cream cheese at Trader Joe's the other day and got back into my routine. But today, I had more leftover Indian food from my young friend's birthday party. Do they put something addictive in Indian food? Are you Indians hiding something from us Americans (and others)? Of course I had my usual coffee and cigarette on the side. That never changes. Anyway, what did you have for breakfast today? Did you have a good weekend?

I don't often have breakfast but usually it's oatmeal.

I forget. What do you put on it? In my childhood days, I put brown sugar and milk on oatmeal, and carved cliffs, with the milk as a lake to the left. I tried to keep the brown sugar in TOP of the oatmeal, so just the right amount would be present for each bite. If the milk lake ran out, I would add more.

@TheHorse Playing with your food? I microwave the oatmeal with a little water then add milk and sugar. I don't make cliffs but I might next time.

Sounds humble but not too bad. Right now I am eating pea soup and sour dough toast.

@TheHorse I never eat cheese in the morning, but a piece of cheese at the end of my lunch or dinner almost always. I went to see my ophthalmologist, well my eyes pressure is not very good, the next year we decide what to do.

@LadyDuck What are the options? My eyes are failing, but there's nothing beyond glasses at this point.

Did it do the job? I could enjoy that, though I might ask for a slice of (any) cheese.

@samysotelo18 I only get eggs Benedict at really good restaurants. Ms Horse and I made Hollandaise from scratch a couple of times. But I'm too lazy to do it by myself.

After eating at Dunkin Donuts all weekend in Charlotte (at our granddaughter's where we dog sat), enjoying my own cooked breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs, and toast this morning was delicious.

I only have black creamy tea every breakfast unless I am on a vacation in another country and I have to eat breakfast before exploring the places I visit.

You're cutting down your toasted Pita? Why did you have to hang it in the first place?
