I’m in Love!

We met little baby Natalie Kate last week in New York City. I fell in love with her immediately. Although she is not mine, her mother named me her other grammy. I feel honored!
Hubs and I took the grandkids to the Central Park Zoo for lunch and lots of interaction with the beautiful wildlife and fauna. It was a learning experience for us all. The cab ride there and back to our son’s co-op was also a learning experience. Our granddaughter swiped our credit card and left a tip. We are two taxi cab morons! She also had to use our credit card to buy us the two adult and two children tickets to get into the zoo! We are such machine using idiots! Those three hours at the zoo cost us a fortune, especially in the gift shop, but we love those kids enough to spoil them rotten.
Our son prepared a fine home cooked spread and our daughter-in-law made a delicious apple cobbler from apples they picked at an orchard. Everyone there loved our holiday dinner last Sunday.
The grandkids kissed and squeezed us goodbye. I loved hearing the words, “I love you, Grammy!”
Now I’m off again to get ready for our Saturday night dinner date with some of our oldest friends. I love Saturday night dinners out, too.

@DianneN According to me it could be a combination of two grand+mummy - grammy and grand+nanny-granny
See the difference?

The child looks so adorable. It is natural to fall in love.
And at times, grand kids too can teach a lot!

Grandkids are the real treasure. In our culture they are called the interest of our investment.

There is nothing better than I love you from the grandkids. I got a couple of those today when I bought the big boys some really soft throws, they were delighted.

@DianneN And I was feeling guilty so I bought two more different ones for Chris and Josh. Jack has one his other grandma bought him of the Red Sox.

Glad you had a great time with the kids--I have a lot of great memories of Central Park--in and around it!

That is a great photo.
Yep a trip to the zoo can be costly, once you go to the gift shop.
