Nothing like a bowl of chicken noodle soup on a chilly night for dinner.
We had rain last night and off and on most of today. The temperatures are in the 50s now. Yes, finally! No more 90s for now. The rain and cooler air has been forecasted, but I kept saying I will believe it when I see it.
Decided to just open a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup for dinner. I will make homemade in the crock pot soon. For now this will do. A few crackers on the side and it is dinner.
Any plans for your evening? Soup is good when you feel a chill, right!

I miss my parents with the mention of Campbell. We used to have that when I was in grade school.

@CarolDM those were the hard up days when my father built a house and had to pay the loan installments. Campbell soup and Libby's corned beef were the usual meals that we had.

Oh yes, I like a good bowl of chicken noodle soup, a lot of times I"ll open a can and cook some grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it.

i'm jest thrilled that heatwave 'tis gone 'n ya got some much needed moisture. not 'mbracin' the cooler weather here. 'pposed to be 82 wednesday (yippee!!), 'fore we head back 'nto the deep freeze (highs'n the 50's durin' the day).
i've gotta re-stock my freezer with soups'n stews. the hubs left the freezer door open 'n now all 'tis ruined. if'n 't aint one thingy, 'tis 'nother, eh?

Glad to hear that you finally got some relief from the heat. Soup is the perfect meal for a chilly night. We had beef stew.

mmm perfect for a cold day. my favorites are chicken noodle, french onion, tomato, or beef stew on a cold day. I haven't had Campbell's in so long!
