It is Fluffernutter Day

Fluffernutter sandwiches have marshmallow fluff and peanut butter on bread. It does not appeal to me, but it has its own day, apparently. The marshmallow cream is just way too sticky and sweet for me. Hubby buys it to use in fudge. I use it to make marshmallow treats with cereal. For breakfast I had peanut butter and apple butter on home made pumpkin/oat pancakes, with a side of sausage. That is more my style. Now it is time to think about going to work. Have a great day and choose a healthy lunch.

I've never heard of marshmallow fluff but isn't fluffernutter a great word?

We had a long haired cream tabby cat. His name was Creamery, but we called him Fluffernutter. I like the word.

Wow, a whole day, huh? I've never heard of it. I also only use marshmallow cream for fudge mainly or sometimes a dollop on top of hot chocolate.

Everything and anything has a "day". I agree, it's too sweet and sticky. I much prefer regular marshmallows.

Yes, either the little ones or the next bigger ones, or even the micro mini ones. I bought a bag of extra large ones once. Did not find them useful. They were as big as four of the large marshmallows.

@GardenGerty I'd gotten a bag of those once or twice before, maple flavored. I ate them like candy.

I loved peanut butter and fluffernutter sandwiches when I was a kid. My mom would put it in the fridge after opening it though and it would be impossible to spread on the bread without ripping it all up. She also kept the peanut butter in the fridge causing a very similar problem. My niece is here maybe when she gets hungry I will see if she wants to try a fluffernutter sandwich. She doesn't like bread so probably not.

@GardenGerty I thought about it but she just wanted the usual chicken nuggets.

I do not like marshmallow cream and I am seriously allergic to peanuts, this is not my day apparently.

You will need to put something else in your sandwich, I guess.

@GardenGerty Soft cheese is what I usually like more on my toasted bread, an alternative a bit of jam.

It was. I love pancakes and donuts but seldom have either of them.

I remember bottles of that fluff on the store shelves. Haven't thought of it in years, but I do remember what it tasted like!

I like marshmallows better than marshmallow cream. I will use them in various recipes.
