Has this ever happened to you?

Last night my husband and I were sitting out back in the "Love shack" as the kids call it, enjoying a fire in the fire pit. He opened the little fridge to get a drink out and there was our pet lizard, Gizard in there! He wasn't frozen, thank goodness (neither Gizard nor my husband) and hopped right out. The last time we saw Gizard, he had gone from inside the shack to the boat shelter. I guess he missed his home and came back. He couldn't have been in the fridge long or he'd have been a little lizard Popsicle. Have you ever had a lizard in your fridge?

@1creekgirl That would have to be a no. However one day I open the fridge and there in all it’s glory sat a toilet roll. My wife was putting away the shopping and got a bit distracted.

@xFiacre I'd trade Gizard for a pack of toilet paper any day. Don't tell him, though.

That's even stranger than a lizard!

I get a lot of geckos in the mail box which startle me when I open it. And one morning I awoke to find a huge anole on my wall with a really long tail. I just stared at it and wondered how it got there with us not seeing it come in!

That must have been a surprise! We have never had a pet lizard, so none to find anywhere.

Lizards in our home are also aggressive that sometimes they can be caught inside the fridge. Fortunately nothing untoward happened.

I have never had a lizard in my fridge. How in the world did he get in there? But glad you found him. Poor little guy. Good thing he is cold blooded otherwise the outcome might have been far more sad.

He used to hang out in the love shack (as our kids call it) and probably enjoyed the insects, but I guess he just hopped in the fridge when my husband opened the door. So glad he wasn't in there long. Gizard, not my husband.

@1creekgirl Finding you husband stuck in the fridge would have taken this in a whole new direction, though.

Yeah, he's a cute little fella. Gizard, not my husband. Well, he's cute too in a mature kind of way.

Thankfully we didn't have any food in it, it's just a little fridge in the shack that we keep cold drinks in.
