Did you ever catch yourself fake smiling?

So, I was doing my mystery shop yesterday, and even though I wasn't in a smiley type mood, I was trying to be pleasant. I felt myself fake smiling, and I am guessing it didnt look natural at all, because the person I was talking to did not smile back. She probably knew I was fake smiling..Sometimes an unnatural smile is worse than not smiling at all. Normally, I don't have to fake smiles so when I talk to people it is pretty natural..but yesterday..I think it came off as a grimace..

I wish I saw your face! No, I only seem to smile if I want to.

@snowy22315 Sometimes you have no choice, you hate the person in front of you, but you are obliged to show that you smile.

Yes, don't you hate that? I once worked with someone who was incredibly two faced. She acted like she hated me in private and talked positively about me when the boss was around.

I've worked in customer service a lot, where I met the public on a daily basis, Yes, I wore a fake smile often. In sales, people do it hourly. A smile can sell a product more often than a sales pitch. put the two together, you got a winning pair.

When Vince wants to try out lights, etc for his photos, I often have to be the guinea pig. I find it really hard to smile naturally at such times. He usually has to tell me a joke to get a decent smile.

I used to have a nervous laugh when I was a teen and one day someone called me on it. I had not even realized I had one. After that it stopped and went away. Now I laugh a bit but it is a joyful happy laugh because of God in my life. But some people still accuse me of having a nervous laugh - but I know the difference!

Ah yes, my fake smiles are often ore of a grimace as well. As if our facial muscles know that we aren't genuine.
