It was the perfect day to go back to the pool this morning. One of the women who has been swimming for a very long time had a birthday today. She turned 90. The lounge was full of celebrants and food. One of the lifeguards brought in balloons. A nine, zero, and a mermaid. The 5 a.m. swimmers are called mermaids.
Cordy is a cancer survivor a couple of different times and her life is an amazing story, so it was great to celebrate with her today. And yes, I indulged in the food. I had more fresh fruit than pastry. A sliver of pumpkin spice kringle, an eighth of a blueberry bagel were all I had that isn't on my food program and since it was small, I think the calories and numbers for it will be negligible as well.
There were also many pictures taken. It was a wonderful morning in the pool and out of it. Now, I'm home and will interact with you before I work on a book. I might work on the back cover copy for Legacy.
That's what's happening here. The rain stopped and will be a nice day today.

Hello my friend, great to see you enjoy the birthday party of your friend. its really great you enjoy true life at this age too and she will be sure fit as 90 she can do swimming. You guys are true an inspiration.

I don't know. I'm sure it has to do with the fact we're all in the water. They've been called that longer than I've been a member.

That sounds like you had a good morning so far. I can think of other names for people who go swimming that early in the morning but it is not mermaid!

I can imagine some of those names. It was a very good morning and I wish I had my camera with me to take pictures. That mermaid balloon was awesome.

She's a good strong swimmer. She might be the oldest swimmer. I know others are in their 80s. It was a wonderful celebration. She doesn't look like she's 90. She looks more like she's in her late 70s. It proves that exercise can keep you looking young.
