A Pleasant Surprise

We drove over to Marion to help Ann pick up some furniture for her house. She was not home at the time. Sue was there, instead. She was helping Ann. Sue is my former supervisor. We have avoided talking because I did not want to say anything about school with the new person in her position. She had been wondering how I was doing, and had just learned which position I ended up in. One of the students I am with most of the time was NOT a good placement last year. It is now going okay but she knew it had negative potential. Sue was worried about me. It was so good to see her, and I am glad she could help Ann as well. I still have Ann's cats. Things got slowed down and she just got possession of the house and will not be living there until November 1. But she is getting some nice furniture. I went to bed at 7 p.m. last night. Of course I did not sleep all the way through and soundly. I have a sore throat and cough. I got some tidying done this morning, though. It feels good.

I think the landlady just wants things to be on an even note. Landlady has been trying to get the occupant out. It was her granddaughter.

I love pleasant surprises! Hope you get well and shake off that sore throat and cough! I had a pleasant surprise on Thurs. too from my dentist. Looks like i'll be getting my uppers and lowers after all...thought I was only getting my lowers until I suggested I can just put adhesive and no hooks necessary. So, I got to the dentist expecting only a lower mold, then surprise the did an upper mold too! Now I can eat with my whole mouth after I get my partials done!

@GardenGerty It will help you a lot to have partials, if you can afford them. My dentist has a discount we apply to yearly, and I got Duo Complete, that has a $2500 a year, so now that mine started in Oct. and it will be replenished in Jan; my cleanings are done for the year, so I though to get my partials done now. It was such a relief, when I can get upper and lowers done now. I asked for the ones that you just use adhesive no hooking on to something for stability. You got to find some kind of adhesive, that you like. Don't get the ones with zinc. I brush after eating always, and don't keep my partials in my mouth, so I needed a adhesive that is not like super glue. It's not cheap too, so be on the lookout for sales at Walgreens, or CVS too for adhesive. I hope you can get a container to hold and clean your partials too. I get them from my dentist...no one has them...I know I looked for them and couldn't find them. You got to get some cleaners, Walmart got the cheapest, but Polident goes on sale all the time too. Good luck with whatever you do.

It made my day. Sue and her husband will bring some furniture for her as she does not have a truck.

That is awesome you both are helping her get her place together. Honey and lemons for that throat.

Yep, that will help. It feels better when I am up, and blowing my nose, etc. Just a lot of drainage. Thanks for the reminder. Thyme tea will also help.

I have missed her, but you know the "confidentiality" thing about schools. We have to be sure not to talk about our kids we are serving.

It feels good to put stuff in place. I have enjoyed the fact that these people are my friends not just co workers.
