Checking in with everyone today before it is too late! I've been working outdoors most of the day. The sun was out and the temperature hit 68 right after lunch. I got all my chores done, chickens fed and watered, dogs fed and water bowls all cleaned. Since it was still nice outside, I decided to go ahead and burn some trash which led to picking up a few limbs that fell. I still had some piles to pick up that hubby had cut up with the chainsaw on Saturday. I did some of that. Then I got out my clippers and started cutting more privet hedge down. I still had piles of this from last weeks adventure outdoors. I ended up with quite a bonfire. I came in right before 4 pm and mom had just woken up from her napping. Perfect timing! I'm ready for a rest now and to get back to some mylotting. How was your day today? Photo: Pixabay, public domain

glad ya got to be outdoors'n get those thingies tended. i've much that needs burned, but know that'd 'ncouraged the city slickers to give such a go 'n most likely set 3 counties afire. so, 'nstead 'f burnin' branches, i made some critter hideouts. a place fer pheasants, quail 'n others to seek refuge from weather 'n predators.

That was a great idea making refuges for the birds! I am hoping to get outdoors again tomorrow. We should have decent weather until later in the day.

@crazyhorseladycx I hear ya on the weeds. Hubby always says it is easier to mow them down. I say yeah, and they multiply every year. I think we will always have some weeks. lol

@LindaOHio Hubby never finished his outdoor faucet project so that will mean frozen water lines. I hope he can get to this THIS weekend. That rain better do somewhere else or move out of here fast.

That's right. I left my kitchen until late to clean up so I know I have more to do in there tomorrow morning.

Remember, you can always use a large towel to cover up a mess if you want to let it sit a day or two longer @kareng

Yep, I'm bad about that. I'll be doing something and see something else that needs doing that I'd rather be doing so I do it and then an hour has passed.

I live in the country. It is a way of live here. Besides the trash only runs one time a week. We burn all paper trash. Plus there were lots of limbs down that needed burning.
