The dreaded "Rainbow Bridge"

I lost one 'f my best friends yesterday. Mr. Red Pup made his journey o'er Monday 'fternoon. 14 years 'f companionship, guardianship 'n trust gone'n the blink 'f'n eye.
He came here's a torn'p pup. Ear ripped open'n other wounds. Fearful 'f e'erythin', no trust'n humans 't all. With time, patience'n love, he thrived 'n grew'nto the sweetest fella e'er. I shall miss his happy face, his warnin' barks when things'd be 'wry outdoors. Resident pup'n I 've been swallowed'n great sadness.
Mr. Red, I hope yer fields 're 'lways green, filled with the wildflowers ya loved. Rabbits 'n birds to chase. Many creeks, ponds 'n lakes to 'xplore. With heavy heart, we put'cha'n yer final restin' place, with hopes we'll meet 'gain some day.

I am so sorry, I know the pain that losing your furry friend causes, I still miss my sweet Beau and Honey!! Sendy hugs my friend.

thanks, hon. yepperz, i 'twas most fortunate he showed'p here. most thankful fer all the years. saddened such ended so 'bruptly, but 'lso glad he jest passed'n his sleep. a peaceful leavin' 'fter such a rough start'n life.

'd evidence 'f coyote activity out'n part 'f the pasture this morn. i've no doubts the horses'll defend 'emselves, but i do miss mr. red's warnin' - 'f that 'n other thingies jest not right outdoors.

The saddest feeling in the world :( remember that old saying "it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all." Losing our pets weighs heavy on our hearts but at least we get the chance to love them even if it's for a short time

'tis true, but sure rips yer heart out. i'm more fond 'f critters than humans, 've 'lways been that way i reckon. i reckon 14yrs 'twas a good run. ya ne'er would'a known him to be that long'n the tooth.

It seems like we are never there with our beloved furry friends long enough, nor are they with us long enough. Our past loved ones come into our lives again and again to gently carry them over the rainbow into the fields of wildflowers and rabbits and birds. They all wait patiently for us to take our turn passing over the bridge to join them. I know all too well your pain as you know all too well my pain of loosing all my beloved companions two years ago. My heart is with you and my soul envelopes yours in a huge hug as I sit here and mourn your loss. Petey's pounding on the door and meowing at the top of his lungs right now, hoping for his breakfast and his dish of "cream" (he won't have any of the plain "milk", it's gotta be cream!...there goes the door again!) Each time we hear a dog bark or a cat meow we're reminded of one that we have lost...fortunately Petey is still here. I'd go flat out nuts if I lost Petey on top of everything else.
My love to you and Mr. Red. I share your sorrow over your loss. You will meet again one day, as the strength of your love will bring you together....and hold you together. Love and hugs to you as always.
