More about the china cabinet

I’ve written about our friends giving us a lovely china cabinet. Because they are building a smaller house, they won’t have room for some of their furniture. They brought a desk here that they no longer want and someone is coming for that tomorrow morning. Their caravan will also be parked here when they’re not actually using it. They will live in it in a caravan park while the house is being built but once they move into the house, it will come and be stored here.
Anyway, as a ‘token gesture’ as the saying goes, of our appreciation for the cabinet, we’re donating some money to charity. It isn’t really a donation as we’ll be loaning the money to Kiva which I’m written about before. It will go to people who are desperately trying to improve their situations. Our friends will choose the charity but we’ll deal with it after that.
Because the wife makes wonderful quilts, I’m tipping she’ll choose a women’s group that wants to buy sewing machines. The husband probably won’t get a choice but he is a laid-back kind of guy and it won’t worry him.
The photo is another one from their garden.

@JudyEv Oh! She has some magic in her hand. I am still at beginners stage and not making much progress there.

Thanks. We have plenty of space here for the caravan so it's not an imposition.

@DocAndersen That's so true that, to be ongoing, friendships do need a little work and care put into them.
