Do you cook your own food during Holidays?

Holiday seasons are not only times for celebration, festivities, and family. It’s also a time to prepare favorite, delicious and special foods in every ones’ tables. While it is best to cook those foods personally, it could be time consuming and stressful as well even if you love doing it. Some others prefer to buy ready made available foods but sometimes, the qualities are not that satisfying. It’s almost 9 in the morning here and I’m not sure if I can go back to sleep yet. I slept past one in the morning, well that’s my life working at night until wee hours. For the meantime, listening here Yiruma’s paino renditions. It’s soothing and relaxing.

My mother’s home cooked meals for Christmas dinner were always the best but she’s older now and I don’t want her to get so exhausted so I order food instead.

@ZedSmart I’m not confident with my cooking. It’s safer to order. Lol

@sol_cee That's OK. Hassle free and all you have to do is to eat on the hour of festivities.

@amitkokiladitya I think that it's pretty normal to us because it's also joyful especially the time spend with family.

I have always prepared the food for the holidays, even when we invited many people to join us.

@LadyDuck Oh sorry to hear that. Yes, that happens. Maybe because of the rush and there are plenty of orders they couldn't maintain the quality as is.

That's a good offering to your guest too Ms. Anna. I think most of us will because I believe that it's the best time to showcase your specialty.

Always, always, always cook our own food. Honestly, the cooking is part of the good time we have together during the holidays.

It's really exhausting especially that most of us are on the height of excitement. So for some, it's better to have it ordered and spend the rest of the time for other things or relaxing.

Our house helpers usually prepare those food. Back when I was very young, my mother would prepare this very special egg sandwich on New Year's Eve. I would sometimes do that on new year's eve too. Same exact recipe.
