Hamming It Up

It’s always nice to get good news instead of bad news.
Last week our older son sent us good news.
The good news was our granddaughter’s report card grades for the first marking period. She receives numerical grades, and they were extremely pleasing.
Other good news is that our 9 year old grandson, who skipped a grade and is now in 5th grade, also received a wonderful report card.
Both parent/teacher conferences went very well.
As a former educator, this wonderful news always makes me so happy and proud.
The photo was sent by our son. According to him, both kids hammed it up on the ice and showed off their “stuff” at a school function held at Chelsea Piers Sky Rink by our grandson’s school. Our granddaughter and grandson both learned to skate there.
They say no news is good news, but this is the kind of news my hubs and I relish.

You must. be very proud. You have wonderful grandchildren! And I would be delighted to have those kind of news too. My son always makes me proud of his grades. This year, he's in grade 10. At the beginning of the school year he gave me two letters that I was very happy to received. Those were an invitation for him to join Advance Math and Advance Biology classes. This invitation is given to select students only who excel in those subjects and the school offers them for free.
