Happy Tuesday all! How’s it going? I took the last couple days mostly off MyLot, doing a variety of things around the house and various errands. Today was much of the same but with the knowledge that tonight through tomorrow afternoon we are getting hit with a snow storm. Now they are saying 9-12 inches of snow forecasted. It has been since February of 2019 that we have dealt with that much snow.
I have been “preparing”, got my grocery shopping done, filled up the gas tank, put the shovel in my trunk (just in case) and I will be meal prepping in an hour or so. I also am going to be dropping my vehicle off at dads due to crazy parking restrictions in the city I live in. How I will get to it tomorrow for work is up in the air, but I’ll figure that out later.
I feel bad for the folks in this region traveling for Thanksgiving. Are you? Are you getting hit with this storm? How do you prepare? And safe travels to anyone who is out and about in the next day or so in this blizzard.

Although a week ago they said we would have snow for thanksgiving, it seems that has changed and the storm looks to go north of us. I have been one that tries to stay prepared for things before they happen. I have about a month of extra food on hand, 4 cases of bottled water and two 5 gallon jugs of water. There is always extra clothes, emergency supplies and a small folding shovel in the car.
Better to be prepared for something then to be surprised with your pants down.

The one positive is that people in Minnesota know how to handle it. I was in New England when they had a massive overnight snowfall in February 1988, and the next morning we got up and drove on cleared roads. Here in Kentucky, mention snow and all those lactose-intolerant, gluten-free people clear the aisles of milk and bread in 20 minutes!
Do stay safe.

No snow predicted here but I've seen on the news how the storm coming through will affect those traveling (especially flying). Tomorrow we get wind and rain (I think)

I don't like winters so no reason to like snow

Wow that is a lot of snow if you do get that much. It was around 50°F here today. Stay as warm as you can and when you do have to drive be careful. My parents live across the street so even in a blizzard I could still make it over there for dinner.
