Happy Tuesday & Daily Health Report - Day 15

As you know, if you're paying attention, I skipped the health report for Sunday because I went out with the over-50 small-group to Pizza Ranch. I know I was off the charts at least for sodium. I'm sure for everything else too except sweets as I skipped the dessert. So, this is yesterday's health report, which I did my best to keep decent as I also didn't go to the gym yesterday with being up late Sunday night watching the tragic loss of the Green Bay Packers to the San Francisco 49rs. It was a good game. It was a terrible score of 37-8. The Pack couldn't get through their defense. They are GOOD! Okay, so this morning, I was determined to have a good workout at the Y and did. I spent my usual 50 minutes in the pool then went up to the fitness center and worked out on the elliptical for 20 minutes. I'm going to try that again tomorrow. I say try because I don't know if I'm going to get to the Y tomorrow. We have severe weather coming at us later today. Looking outside, it's getting ready. Unless they updated it, our side of the almost straight diagonal line from the southwest corner of the state to the northeast is rain. We're supposed to get 1-2 inches. The other side can see up to a foot of snow. That line only needs to come 30 miles southeast and we'll be in the snow and you know that's what I'm hoping for. I don't want to see rain. However, whatever it's going to do, there's a good chance I won't be going anywhere tomorrow morning. This morning when I opened my computer and got my Microsoft points from Bing, the poll question was would you rather exercise in the morning or afternoon. Of course, you know it's morning for me. The site showed the benefits of morning exercise. Now, this is geared more for walking, but I'm sure it works for swimming and working out in the fitness center too. Here are the seven benefits of early morning exercise - 1. Increased Appetite - smooth digestion 2. Improving Energy - improve power and energy 3. Sharper Mind - increase cognitive function in the brain 4. Against Stress - calm mood 5. Lose Weight - increase body's metabolism, burn calories 6. Get Better Sleep - a more regular sleep cycle 7. Increase Overall Body Health - increase metabolism, regulate blood pressure, regulate heart rate, and improve blood flow to the muscles The benefits are worth it for working out in the morning. Anyone up for an early morning walk or swim? That brings me to yesterday's numbers. I think they're good. With all the sodium I had on Sunday, I did my best to keep that low and succeeded. Calories: 1470.84 Sugar: 30.55 Carbs: 200 Protein: 67 Sodium: 461 Fat: 48.6 I did well. Tomorrow will be even better for calories burned since there weren't any for yesterday. How did you do for food and exercise yesterday? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

Looks good, Your numbers I mean ! I hope you get the snow you want. We are supposed to get a storm, I am hoping just a coating though. I still am not back on my diet. I'll do the best I can though. After Christmas I am going to be strict with my diet, and I'll start over with my food posts, probably will do daily weigh ins too.

Thank you. I just looked at an updated weather report - we're now getting half an inch of snow tomorrow. Until then it will be all rain. We'll know more when it's all said and done. They're also calling for snow on Thursday but not until later and all through Sunday. Monday will be sunny.

@MommyOfEli2013 A winter advisory could change your Thanksgiving plans. Most of Wisconsin is under a winter weather advisory.

No snow. All rain. It's supposed to change over later this afternoon as temps drop but no more than half an inch if that. The snow is right where they said it would be. North of me is being hammered with it.

I did. Though I also had a three-hour nap when I got home. That was after writing almost a thousand words and eating breakfast. I was down by 8:30. It should be a good day. The sun is gone. We still had it when I started this post.

Yes, early in the morning. I'm in the pool at 5 AM on most days - Monday to Friday. However, not when the weather is bad as it is this morning. It helps a lot. You can see the benefits listed above for early morning exercise. The big thing is it gives me more energy. It also helps my knees. I have severe arthritis and the exercise in the pool helps as well as the hot tub which loosens up my knees and makes them feel so much better and more mobile.

Yes, it is. The snow and rain they forecast for today is right on the prediction. As I looked at the weather this morning, I saw the snow line was a little north of the prediction but still very much what they said. We're getting rain and lots of it. It's supposed to turn over to snow later this afternoon as the temperature drops but we won't get much from it.
