November 27th - What I Am Thankful for Today

I'm not sure what time it stopped raining. I looked at the weather and noticed it changed over to snow, but it was too dark at that point to see if it was snowing out there. I'm going to trust it was. At any rate, it's stopped doing anything now. I have a few things to be thankful for today. First, I'm thankful as many of you have stated over the past month, that I'm alive to enjoy this day. It is the day the Lord has made. Rain, snow, and wind. I'm thankful for the food I eat every day. I had a good breakfast, and need to think about supper now. I'm thankful I have a new title for my book I've been working hard on all month. Its new title is Thread of Life. I was looking through pictures on Pixabay and it sort of jumped out at me. I knew that was the name of the book. Now, I need to find a picture. I'm thankful I'm closing in on 80K with 77,313 words. If I can, I'll finish tomorrow. I know I will work on the book. I don't know how much time I can devote to it with going to my son's for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'm thankful I will be with my son and grandson tomorrow. It will be the first time he will do the cooking and I look forward to it. He's a good cook. Besides, he'll have his best friend walking him through the meal, especially the turkey. He called today to tell me he has it and he doesn't want me to bring anything except my appetite. I can do that. I'm thankful for warm clothes in winter, boots to keep my feet warm, and warm blankets to keep me warm at night. I'm thankful for thoughtful people. My son has been thoughtful in a lot of ways, not only with making Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I'm thankful for thoughtful store clerks. I've seen that lately too. I'm thankful for all my friends on myLot. You know how to put a smile on my face. Now, I'm thankful for the food I'm going to prepare for supper. My stomach is telling me it's waited long enough.
