Heading out to Battle the Masses to Buy a Birthday Gift! Can't do it Tomorrow, my Grandson is Coming to Visit!

Little Miss and I will be heading out on Black Friday to go to JC Penney to buy a gift for her friend's birthday. She will be going to her friend's party on Sunday and is so excited.
Got good news yesterday to advise me that my ex SIL is bringing my grandson to visit me. She snarkingly said that I guess nobody is coming this way so I'll have to bring him to you. I of course chimed in and said she knew I had no money for gas and couldn't drive over with on an empty tank. I try to take her snarky mouth with a grain of salt because that's the way she rolls.
So, needless to say, I am super excited to be able to see my grandson soon! Little Miss will be meeting her big brother for the first time! She too is excited!
Have to get out and back so I can make this place shine as much as a crackerbox can shine. I'll probably bring a bunch of stuff out to the camper so it is out of the way. Need to have some elbow room.
And on a good note, I'll end this one for now. I am happy to announce that my grandson is extending the olive branch to his mother and has been talking with her. They will hopefully meet this weekend when he comes to visit. I pray that his heart can heal and they can have a relationship together. Time will tell.

@LadyDuck Today is Small Business Saturday. The small shops should be quite busy. There are only a few that I would like to shop at, but am unable to do so this year.

i'm glad she's bringin' him, though wish she'd find the decency to curb her snarkiness. some folks're jest rigged that way though. hopefully they'll be able to rebuild their relationship, too. gonna take lots 'f work 'n time, but can be done if'n both parties desire such.

She has always been that way and I come to expect it. Doesn't make it okay though. I do chime in when she does this crap. No need for it and I am not afraid to tell her so.
Been a long time coming with my daughter and grandson. Was worried that it would never happen. They may never fully be able to mend what is broken though. Many years ago I told him that my hope was that they could heal. He may be able to forgive, but he will never forget. I fully understand that one.
