Time Is Like an Express Train

Express trains don’t stop at all stations and seem to just go zooming along. I was going to come online Monday and ask what became of the weekend which I guess was not on my local stop. Then Monday became Tuesday and here I am still not believing I missed all the previous days.
Now the holiday season is here. I cannot decide if I want to put up my little Christmas tree or not. I cannot decide if it will make me happy or make me melancholy. Once again it will be my work that will save me because I’ll be able to write right through the holidays. I cannot allow myself to get to blue or I’ll turn into Smurfette.
I amuse myself with the thought that the Lord is looking down and shaking His head and thinking He’s going to have problems with me. I won’t make problems I only wish that I could feel different and I guess the cold spell that we’re going through in Florida is not helping at all. It only reminds me of Decembers in Latvia.

I am sad this year because of watching Tony die, it was horrible.

I am so sorry for your loss. And I am sad this year because my daughter left peeing me money and won’t let me see my new grandson.
I don’t know whether I am going to have electric or WiFi. And I am not going to be able to get gifts for the grandkids.

I have been thinking about that cold spell in Florida a lot lately too because I want to spend my winters there and the people that are trying to talk me out of it keep telling me that it's cold down there now. But at least it's warmer then here in Virginia. I want to spend winter's in central Florida. Right now, looking at my weather app it's 36 degrees here and 46 there. It's still warmer there. I am trying to decide if I should put my tree up this year too. But I might because I have 2 of my grandkids her everyday during the week. Otherwise I don't really need it up this year.

Just remember the apartments and houses here are not meant for cold weather so if you come and if it stays cold bring a heater @dfollin

And disrupts your regular routine I got around the stores with a Grinch expression because I hate having a constant round of Christmas songs playing all around me and bells ringing till I think I'll ting a ling someone @JohnRoberts

How can we feel different than we do now, and to heal from past and continuing hurting, lostness, and lack of any real connective trust to God?
I ask myself this question, nearly every day.
Sometimes, God answers me though, when I ask him this question, instead of just asking it over and over to myself.
His rather surprising answer to me, today, was something like this.
"God changes you, you do not change yourself, ever, so allow him to heal you, and you will change, and grow over past hurts, from new love, from God, coming creatively into your life, giving you new directions, and directives, to take on, in your life."

Sorry your feeling a bit down. Christmas can be hectic and definitely not a happy time for everyone. Try and focus on positive memories. Doing your writing is a good idea to combat your feelings. You might even explore you holiday feelings by writing a letter to yourself. With both my parents now gone I don't feel the same about Christmas either. I always feel a sense of loss during this time. Fortunately, I still have siblings and friends I connect with although it's not the same. But the interaction does help. In a month this will be over so hang in there.

Christmas for me is blue. I have the same feeling with you. I become melancholic when it's Christmas season especially when I hear Christmas carols. I remember my caring, thoughtful, loving late parents.
