What's for dinner tonght?

I just got back from a long but enjoyable day at my friend's preschool. I got some extra hugs because I worked part of the day in a classroom I hadn't visited in a couple of weeks. I scored some wine on the way home but was too pooped to pick up any dinner. Plus I have rock 'n roll practice later in the evening. So I'm having my incredible invention for dinner which I haven't yet named. The recipe? I've discussed it in a previous post: Boil some pasta, add some olive oil, garlic, butter, and grated Parmesan cheese. That's it. What do you think I should call this invention? My hunch is that its roots are Italian cuisine. But I'm American and have only lived in Italy for a year when I was four. I'll have hearts of palm with blue cheese dressing on the side. What's on your dinner menu for tonight?

Why not? Is pasta a part of Indian cuisine? When I eat Indian, I usually eat rice and naan for my "carbs."

@TheHorse it is italian but well known here. There was a time when I was a huge fan of pasta. But not all. It appears I have eaten a lot now.

@rakski What was on the sie? I'm not a big pork fan, but if mashed potatoes and a good gravy are involved, I can be persuaded.

I just had something very similar, but I only had pasta with cheese. Couldn't find the cheese grater to I used the cheese slicer and then a knife. Eating out tonight, so it'll probably be something more complicated then.

I actually really like my pasta dish. And it's quite cost-effective. I believe Anna and Maluse have nominated me for a Noble Prize for the creation of this simple dish.

Do you mix olive oil and Butter? In this case this recipe cannot have an Italian root.

@TheHorse Olive oil is a vegetable fat, while butter is of animal origin and they should never be mixed.

Well let me first start off by saying I am CERTAIN this dish is delicious, and I have made similar concoctions. Based on your name and that this is sort of your own invention, and sort of a throwdown, I think you could call it Horseshit and that would be entirely fitting. Best horseshit this side of the Mississippi...
