Good early morning everyone! I hope you're doing amazing today. God woke us to a new day and He loves us so much!! I'm so grateful for His amazing love and blessings He gives.
Since my husbands lay off its been tough for him to find a job right before Christmas. But we know God is on the move for us & something's coming! 
We applied for food stamps & such when we first moved here over a month ago. They lost our paperwork 3 different times. Yesterday they called and said the pay stubs we turned in were also lost. I told them hubby was now laid off. She said oh do you have the paper saying that? I said yes. She told me to bring that in. We did. I got a call an hour later saying since the papers were lost & we turned the layoff in we were approved for MUCH more than when we first filed!! 
See how things work out when you have faith? Yes annoying they lost paperwork 3 times but in the end that was a BLESSING & it worked out better!
(No I'm not ashamed to get a bit of help for food, do you know how much it costs to feed a family of our size?) 
Anyway, just wanted to share that testimony with y'all & remind you to look around for the blessings-they are there.

Food banks can be a big help too..which I am sure you know. That's sad he got laid off, but at least he can help out around the house a bit while looking for work.

@snowy22315 Yes when you have gas to get to them...they are a drive sometimes.

That is an adorable picture, they look like they are having a lot of fun.
I am happy that they have all of the paperwork sorted out for the food stamps, and I agree that there is no shame in receiving a hand up, you give what you can and you take when you need.

Beautiful and candid. I don't look down on people who are having a hard time. We all experience trials in our lives. My father lost his job, but he managed to saved enough money to sustain us even if my mother was the one working. Everything changed when he had new work again.

I am glad at least you won't have to worry about food. It is always something, isn't it? I hope that he is able to find another job. Around here everywhere is looking for help, we have many more jobs than people to do them.

Is there a UPS/FedEx/Amazon facility in your area? I know UPS hires tons of extra workers during the holidays to help with all the deliveries.
I'm glad you were approved for more than you initially thought. I definitely understand how much food costs, and how tough it is to keep a family fed, especially when you have growing kids.

Yes it costs a lot to feed this big family! Lol
