I've been thinking about the pros and cons of moving- 3 more years. @Sojourner and I have been nattering back and forth. Stay or go? Right now I am away from other humans all day. The other place is in town and its where there are better transportation options. I talked with my aerobics teacher yesterday. She is content to stay home, except for her class teaching times. I believe she watches TV a lot. I could be alive and kicking another twenty years: live in the TV twilight all that time? So I am grateful that the roads have cleared and the snow is melting. And I am aware that winter isn't really here so more is coming. Here is a photo of the other place. Its quiet street. The lady is one of the renters. The guy is my hubby. He's getting an idea of what I meant when I said that I'd bought a fence.

I love the fence. I prefer the country. But a quiet street in a small town wold be next in line

@wolfgirl569 I wanted to highlight the age of the old house. Its more of a retired farmhouse than a Victorian geegaw but still..... I'll look for the photo of the fence arched gate that I won.

@wolfgirl569 The side fence will be chain link. Due to the age of the house, I insisted on having that black fence installed up front.

Do what is best for you. We are in a ranch house on an acre. The grass has become too much; but the neighbor across the street cuts it for us. Otherwise we'd be in a pickle!

@LindaOhio I live on three hilly acres. Some of it I'll just call wildlife habitation. How about that? And I garden though my hands are starting to gripe when I dig out rocks etc. I thought about how I should look for a ranch house cause of my knee issues. My heart won over my head on that one so I will be dealing with old wooden stairs if I move to town.

@sallypup We couldn't do the stairs. If you think you'll be happy there, then go for it!

@LindaOHio My hubby worries about me when it comes to those stairs. There is one bedroom on the ground floor. I think I will place a few emergency clothes and such in its closet.

@maezee Thanks. The place is wide open to any ideas about gardening. I am thinking it needs more flowers; maybe tall pots with a tree on each side of the walk as you approach the house. Like I said, I am thinking.....

A change is always good. Right now, we are on a quiet street in Florida and can walk to downtown if we want to. It’s more exciting than our house in CT.

@DianneN That sounds nice. Some of my relatives used to live in Sarasota. I'm kind of curious what that city looks like.

@sallypup I’ve never been there, but heard it’s beautiful. It’s on the west coast. We are on the east.

That looks a very neat house. You might need to develop some hobbies when you move.

@CarolDM Can you imagine bird feeders dangling some where in the yard?

@CarolDM Shepherd's crooks. Love them. The renter said that she saw a blue heron in the fir tree that lives in the back. Bird feeders rock!

It's a decision you can really only make for yourself. Do what your heart tells you.
