The Geese Playing Follow the Leader!

I had an appointment on Friday for my annual mammogram and when I got to the doctor's office saw all the geese exiting the parking lot in a row, one after the other.
The geese fly in every winter and choose which lake to hang out at every year. They are regulars here at the lake across the street from this doctor's office. I found it amusing that they were all walking in a straight line as if they were playing Follow the Leader.
What kind of winter birds frequent your area in the winter, but leave in spring?

@DocAndersen Sure, but packing up a family to move is a lot of work.

That's interesting. It's nice and warm there, you would think they would find you, @JohnRoberts I guess it is because you are at extreme west of the U.S.? Who knows!
