Salvation Army bell ringer gets a huge surprise from an anonymous donor

The red kettle of the Salvation Army

An anonymous donor made the officials at the Bristol Connecticut Salvation Army very happy when he gave away three Krugerrand gold coins that are worth around $4,050 dollars when he gave them away at a Price Chopper store the day before Thanksgiving. The anonymous donor who made the donation did this act of kindness out of the kindness of his heart to assist the charity to assist people in need with his huge donation. The best part is the donor did this act quietly since he knows that blessings will come his way in the near future. I just enjoy these stories of donors who did their deeds quietly instead of telling the world via the media that they have hearts of gold.

Pardon me for this segue way. This reminds me of the movie FX where the heroes recovered the stolen gold coins which they donated to the church.

@Deepizzaguy it was a nice gesture that I couldn't forget even if it was just a movie. I always appreciate kindness and generosity.

@Alexandoy It is good to remember acts of kindness better than the bad things that people do.

What a wonderful thing to do! That will go a long way towards helping those less fortunate. That's one charity I will always donate to..

The holiday season has been bringing out some great stories of charities getting huge amounts of money this year from persons who want who keep a low profile.

@JudyEv I saw the idea of diamonds being very valuable from the James Bond movie "Diamonds Are Forever."

That is true since had he not contacted them to inform them that the coins were spcial, they have thrown away since the Salvation Army officials would think it was a fake.

It is kind of an odd donation from an anonymous donor.
