Remembering 1996 / myLot

Part of the 1996 parade included skate boarders and I happened to get these 2 shots.

1996 was a good year for me as far as photo ops were concerned. I'd gone to Ruidoso NM with mom and decided to go to the parade early the morning after we got there. I had a blast. This was the only year that I took pictures of people more so than pets or simple scenes and looking back I wish I had the cochinas to go once more but who wants to get up at 4am just to drive 172 miles to get to a parade to take pictures? Well, this time I'd have a digital camera and could create videos, something that old Nikon EM I had couldn't do. I found the two shots above among the many photos I took, I am surprised that I had forgotten about these. I thought I would post a video that I hope will make you smile, it's all about animals and the funny things they do. It's kind of long but I think you will find the part about the baby elephant worth watching.

There are two things I distinctly remember about 1996....it was the year the Florida Gators football team won their first national championship, and it's the year I started dating the girl who would become my future wife. I'm sure if I put a lot of thought into it, I could remember more about 96, but those were the two things that immediately popped into my head.

Thanks miss lady for funny video, I think 90's was were humanity peaked. Its was much better than 2019.

You are so welcome, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, the 90s was much better but I think it's because I was much younger. 2019 wasn't so bad for me but I do understand your reasoning.
