Do you think it smells to eat 'tofu'? I am not sure if you had tried to eat this kind of food. It is called 'bean curd.' I am just bothered when teaching online. They have this lesson and claiming the food is stinky. I just wanted to share if you think the same way. The only think I could say to my online Chinese students, 'It smells bad, but it is tasty.'
"Do you consume tofu at your place?"
"Do you think it needs to be described as stinky?"

Honestly, it depends on how you prepare tofu what type of odor it has or doesn't have.
Maybe you should try fixing it a different way and see if you still think it has a stinky odor.

@DaddyEvil I think Pretty needs to convince you. It's not bad to have a taste of it. Unless you're allergic to tofu.

No wonder people think your tofu doesn't smell as nice as it could, Shavkat! I wouldn't want to even be in the same room as tofu with only condiments on it!
(Pretty cooks the food she uses tofu in while I'm not home or I'd never be able to eat any of it!)

I don't think so I have to eat that. Taste and smell I think usually should be good and in coordination.

@Shavkat Yes taste and smell go hand in hand.

I have only eaten tofu once (in Vietnam) and I don't think that it smelled bad.

@Shavkat It is possible to buy tofu in my country, but it is not that popular. Here most people choose other kinds of food.

I bought tofu in the grocery and it's not stinky even when cooked. What's the reason behind it being stinky?

When we were going to Hongkong a nephew advised us to try that stinky tofu. I am choosy with food so it is not my type to be adventurous with food.

@Alexandoy I am sure you loved it. I do love Cantonese food in Hong Kong, too.

No I don`t, tofu usually takes on the smell and flavor of what else you add to it.

I have tried eating tofu and it never stinked. Though I am not so fond of the taste, it is okay for me.
