Delivering a lounge and staying away over the next two days

There is still something strange going on with our internet but not to worry. We are going out to dinner this evening with friends then first thing tomorrow we have a three-hour drive to visit my sister. We are taking the trailer and a chaise-lounge that I’ve written about before. It has been in the family a very long time so we’re giving to my nephew as I know he will value it.
We’re taking ham and a salad to share at lunchtime. Three of my sister’s five sons will be there and some of the grandchildren. And I’ll get my goat fix again. We’re staying two nights and probably won’t go online at all during that time as the internet service there is very hit and miss. Perhaps I’ll have more photos of goats when I get back.

That's funny that you mention getting your 'goat fix.' I'm sure you will enjoy visiting all the goats. And all the family members as well. Can't wait to see your 'goat posts' when you get back. Have a safe and fun trip!

Wow, what a beautiful lounge.
I have the feeling that this is why you missed the discussion about the wedding.
It's hard to keep up with everyone sometimes especially when you have real world events to keep you busy or internet problems.

You're right @JudyEv When I had surgery I wasn't online as much and boy did I miss a lot. I did try to play catch up but then I realized it was pointless to try to do that.
Now I just make a few time travels to try to find interesting posts from years gone by.

It seems like we have the same internet provider. After the long downtime the other day, once in a while the internet access will crawl for some minutes. Maybe there's a technical problem that they didn't tell us.

We think now it might be the new MacPro that is causing the problem. Maybe it is continually backing up or something.

that is a lovely Chase! In our family the only thing that has survived the sea travel etc, is a copper kettle.

@JudyEv Oh! He would be the perfect recipient and will definitely take good care of it. We too have a similar kind of lounge and it's the favorite piece of furniture in the family.

@judyev That is a handsome piece of furniture. I could recline beautifully on that and read French poetry. Handy tip: if you tie your ham to the roof of your car it should be nicely cooked by the time you get to your sister’s given your furnace-like temperatures.
