This will be a quiet day for me. Hubby is working for part of the day.
That is okay. We have in the past volunteered to work Christmas so families with small kids could be together. This year it is just how his schedule is.
Dishes do not wait for Christmas, and laundry also must be done.
I have visited with my family by phone.
Last night we thoroughly enjoyed a candle lit church service.
I do not do New Year's resolutions. I act on my good intentions when they occur.
So, I am drinking more water and herbal tea.
I am using my exercise equipment.
I am being kind to myself.
That is how I will go into the nest new year.
Have a peaceful day. I hope to be here at least a little.

@GardenGerty I am Christian, Orthodox and we celebrate Christmas on January 7th, according to the Julian calendar.

I will be ready to go back to work. It is nice to be off but it is also nice to earn a paycheck.

I always say, Christmas can be celebrated whenever. Doesn't change the "special" of the day. There have been times my sister, being in the medical field, had to work and so we just picked another day. But a good cause for your husband working part of the day.
As for resolutions, I resolved long ago never to make any resolutions. So far it has been the only resolution I ever followed through with.

Well, he is not in essential services any more but we still do not mind that he worked. We had a lovely time at Christmas Eve services last night, and tomorrow we are buying our Christmas presents to us. We will get a year's zoo pass as we are well enough and in Wichita often enough to enjoy it. We will go to the zoo tomorrow. We will also subscribe to some magazines that we both like. Friday we will have Christmas Dinner with my son and family.
