Signs of Spring Anyone?

I don't know about you but I've seen a couple of odd signs of an early Spring here already. For those of you who do not know I'm in southern Mississippi.
The first sign I noticed was how green the grass is along the road. Usually it has died off or turned brown from death of the cold. We had a hard freeze in November and that killed a lot of things. But the grass is looking like Spring is on the horizon.
Another sign of growth outside is clover patches are popping up all over my yard and in the field. This is not usual December or January behavior.
Third, my chickens are laying more than usual for this time of the year. Usually during molt they slow down and they stop or near stop laying when the days become shorter and it gets dark at or before 5 pm. They usually don't pick up with laying until mid to late February.
I have also seen patches of wild lilac and wild violets coming in. They haven't bloomed yet, but they are filling out and spreading.
Have you seen any signs of Spring yet? Please share them with us if you have. I have been saying for a few years now that the seasons are shifting and these signs that I mentioned above sure point to that.

Glad to hear you are turning to spring, Here in Florida where we live it will still be kind of cold in January and February and then things will heat up quickly

@kareng It just seems that way, I think. Historically we have hot spells and cold spells, and sometimes if we have a warmer spell mid-winter, some things will get 'confused.' I did see a fly two days ago. He was a bit sluggish, but still he was flying around.

Now if the temperature didn't change that would be 100% true. But you have a biting wind down there sometimes in the winter and that is cold, especially coming off the water. Got caught down there on the beach a few years ago with a cold front and my hubby played like a sissy and went and bought a big coat. At least I didn't pack all shorts and had some jeans!

@isweartokira Well every now and then a palm frond will turn brown and fall off the palm tree, but other than that the greenery is all around us throughout the year! lol

@kareng Yes we can. If the freezes stay spaced far apart I can live with them.

We are usually warm this time of year so there are signs of warm weather still.

@crazyhorseladycx The birds always get the muscadines here growing along the property lines in the woods. I got a handful year before last and none this past year. I am hoping the one I planted in the yard didn't die in the deep freeze but it sure looks like it. I'll set some more out this spring.

@kareng no ma'am, they'll not make 't. one 'f the silver maples 's 'lso bloomin' 't seems. silly trees, i reckon they'd not the memo 'tis winter? the rest thus far seem quite content to be'n slumber.
which reminds me, if'n 'tis nice tomorrow i need to give the grape vines 'n wisteria a serious trimmin'. direly needed if'n i wish move lovely purple blossoms so filled with fragrances 'n loads 'f grapes. i keep thinkin' one day these vines'll produce 'nough where i get more'n a handful. then 'gain, most likely'll mean the birds get that many more, lol.

We never really have winter here so everything is consistent through the year.
