Ugh! Check Your Schnoz before You Leave Home!

I just ran down to the lobby to pick up my mail and ran into a neighbor. We stopped to chat a while, when I noticed a you know what hanging out of her nose. Ick!
She was on her way out, so I figured it would be best to let her know.
It’s never easy to do, but I said, “Excuse me, but you may want to check your nose.” I pointed to my nostril as I said it.
Instead of getting a tissue to remove the object, she used her finger.
I had to get away as fast as possible, so I took the elevator. As the door closed, I believe I heard her say, “Thank you!”
What good manners she has.

@DianneN No worries LOL I bet it was! Back when I used to take the train to work, there was this guy who would gross me out with all his loud burping, farting, clearing of the throat etc I always made sure not to have him sit anywhere near me - YUCK!

She was lucky you were nice enough to mention it. It's hard to point out something to someone. I used to work with a guy who had the worse breath in the world. Everyone talked about it but no one mentioned it to him (me included). Thinking back I probably should have tactfully said something.

@DianneN I would like to know too. People are weird when it comes to personal hygiene

I agree. I would prefer to know something was wrong than go around not knowing.
A teacher at school had the worst perspiration odor. Everyone talked about it, and finally the school nurse and principal talked to her about wearing deodorant. Everything was fine. I ran into her years later in a different school, and guess what? NO deodorant! Another reason to retire early!
