My daughter is visiting today!

She lives some distance away since she got married and was meant to be visiting over Christmas but for various reasons she couldn't. I was disappointed but she promised to come after the New Year. Well that day is here!
She has a lot of family and friends to see while she is here so I don't know if she will be able to spend long with me today but it will be so lovely to see her and if all goes well we will go for a family meal tomorrow.
I still remember her as a little girl and wish I could have her with me all the time but we all have to let go and I know she is happy in her life so that's the main thing.

We usually spend the afternoon together although she is only here until tomorrow night and has a lot of people to see in that time.

I have always been very close to my daughter, so I can imagine it will be hard for me to let her go when she gets married and creates a new life of her own with her husband. But thankfully, she is nowhere near ready for marriage, so I think I still have a few years left with my "little girl."
Glad you are getting a chance to see your daughter, and I hope your visit is full of love and warmth!

I'm leaving in a few minutes to meet her. It's just after 1.30 pm here. Yes I think daughters and daddies often have a close relationship. Thankfully my daughter is close to both of us even though we are not together now.

I'm happy for you! Both of my kids are grown and have families of their own. I'm so grateful that they live locally. My son lived far away for awhile and I missed him so much.
