Yesterday 1/10/20

Yesterday I was on My Lot for only an hour. Today I am trying to catch up with the dozens of Discussions and Notifications.
We took our car in to have some recall work done yesterday. I drove too so that we could go out to eat while we waited. When we first went in (at noon) we were told that the car wouldn't be ready until 5 pm. That didn't set well with us because neither one of us can really drive after dark; and it was raining which made it even harder to see the lines on the road.
We went out to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse. We had a Surf & Surf appetizer which was a crabby, shirmpy, cheesy dip with toast-like chips. I had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and a salad. Everything was pretty good this time. We asked for the chips without salt; and that made a HUGE difference in how good it was.
We got back to the dealership; and lo and behold! The car was done at 3:15; so we didn't have to drive in the dark. That was especially good for me since I have driven less than a dozen times in the past 9 years!! I was too tired when I got home to MyLot. I will do my best to catch up today.

I was working so much yesterday and both phones were ringing off the hook, its was a mad house here yesterday. I got up at 5 am and I am about ready for a nap.

What am I doing today? It might be the backstroke! It’s pouring here, and if I was “The Flying Nun” I could be in England in two hours with the wind we have!!!

@LindaOHio — it wasn’t too bad here, thank God. Just wind and rain. There were tornadoes in the Deep South.

I've heard of that steakhouse but have not gone to it. I don't think there is one where I live. I do not drive but if I did I would not be too comfortable driving in the dark. But I guess it takes getting used to.

It sure was. I told my husband that we would wait and I would drive home in the dark; but I can't see diddly when the streets are wet and shiny and the oncoming headlights add to that glare.
