how many people are online here? how to see?

as you know mylot is a big family and we have a lot of people all around the world..
as i can see ,sometimes our discussions have a lot of responses but sometimes here is like a silent library!
what should we do to get more reactions?
is there any way to learn how many people are online!
what do you think?
even adding a gadget at the end of the page would be great so we could see how many people are online and where they are from ..

myLot has never had a facility to show how many people or who is online. I doubt that it will ever do so. The best way to get interactions is to post discussions which attract good quality responses from as wide a range of people as possible and to post at intervals throughout the day. Only post as many discussions a day as you can maintain because it's also important to think of a discussion as a conversation. It is your interaction with others which makes people want to interact with you.

sorry to praise myself but it s a great ides .. lol ..
i don't understand why mylot doesnt do it..
yes we are on and off but we can start discussions when there are many people around.

I guess we can maybe know who is online by seeing who posts and by the notifications. Not sure I know.

If you hang around Most Recent Activity it gives you a great snapshot of who is online, who is active at the moment, and what is going on. A lot of people avoid this area, bit Most Recent Activity tells you all you need to know about who is online, who they are interacting with, what posts they are commenting on, and who is online.

yeah i always use it and it is great but i totally talk about a different thing. i mean i also want to see where people come from, how many and more.. i think most recent activity part is great but i also want to see more..

yeah , search option is god. i also use it .especially there are not japanese people here so i search about japanese culture.

actually it is very easy , it can be here with a small gadget but maybe they dont want it..
i pretty believe it will increase the users here..

I like the idea although not sure how well it would work. for example for me, I will long on and then sometimes get pulled away from the computer but I am still signed in and the page is open on my computer but I am not here at the computer being active. So it would still show me on when really I am not here at the computer.

even you are not in front of the computer you will come back right! so you can refresh and see the notifications..
