I hate being at someone's mercy. However, that's the situation. I have a flat tire and can't get a new one until after the first of February. Half a month without a car doesn't work for me. No pool. I already put out a message on FB to get a ride to church on Sunday and why I need it. I expect I'll have a ride. I'm sure I can get to rock painting. My friend from Writer's Guild is in charge of that and gives me a ride there, I'm sure I can get a ride to Rock Painting too. It's only the pool I won't get to. I don't know how I'm getting my laundry done. My son needs work on his car and only uses it locally and getting to work.
It's going to be an interesting last half of the month. And I was doing really well with my steps. I already surpassed 5000 with the pool and fitness center. Being at the ADRC helped get me almost there and the little bit from the car to the apartment put me over.
I saw the flat when I finally got into my parking space. The ice is bad and my tires were spinning. I backed up three times before I got it into the space.
I was supposed to pick Jonathon up for work and that isn't happening either. I hope he can find a way there. I sent him a message.
In the meantime, I can enjoy your company while I interact with all of you. All I need is my cup of tea.

I only get paid once a month and that money is mostly spent. I have a little left for odds and ends, not a new tire.

oh dear :( 'tis 't ruined 'r jest flat? i'm wonderin' if'n the maintenance fella 'r someone from yer church could come'n change such fer ya? oh wait, y'ave prolly one 'f those lil donut thingies... i despise those but 'pposedly ya can go 'bout 50 miles'n one.
wet, cold, icy, dreary day here. lots 'f ugliness 'ndoors, thankfully lots 'f beauty outdoors 'n that's where i choose to focus my 'ttention. watchin' the birds fight o'er who gets to sit'n the midst 'f the feeders 'tis great comic relief.

@just4him should be there'n yer trunk, there's a cavity fer such usually covered with a carpet. does this mean the tire 'tis jest flat, not blown/ruined? i sure hope so'n that someone steps'p to get't fixed fer ya. surely there's someone from the church who'd be willin' to take such to the tire place to see if'n can be repaired?
'tis a hoot 'n i'm most thankful.

@crazyhorseladycx I'll look in the trunk, but not today. We're in the deep freeze today. The wind is blowing. Tomorrow will be better and I'll look then.

I understand what you are saying. I also like my independence and when have to depend on someone else that is hard for me. I never much liked ice. It is very scary to drive on ice or to park when there is ice. I am sorry you will be without the use of your car and your freedom. I had to go out this morning and got most of my medication today but something I needed is not always in and thought I would check somewhere else but they did not have it either. I will check at the pharmacy in the building of my doctor to see if they have it. If not, I have to ask him what can I have instead of it because I have lots of problems getting it and really need it.

My next payday isn't until February 3rd. I don't have enough left from this month's needs for a new or used tire.

What a nuisance having a flat tyre. DO you not have a spare tyre in the boot? Although these days manufacturers do not seem to fit cars with a spare tyre which I think is daft!

God put my older son on my mind all night. Before he disowned me back in October, he told me he had three tires that fit my car. I sent him a text this morning. God will take care of this.

I am sorry to hear about the flat tire, that is awful! Hopefully you can get to where you need to go with other's help....and hope the rest of the month will still be good. Sorry about no pool though!
