Such Spoiled Doggies, but so Worth It!

We met these adorable dogs on excursion a couple of days ago. Henry and Hazel are their names.
The wife carried Hazel and her husband walked Henry. We oohed over them. They were very silky and well behaved.
The wife answered so many questions. The dogs have a bath every week and just had one, but they need brushing a couple of times a week to keep from matting. I forgot the name of this breed.
She was so patient, the husband not so much. He didn’t even crack a smile.
Eventually they crossed the street and got into their car. They had the top down on their gorgeous white Rolls Royce convertible. The dogs had the back seat to themselves.
It’s a dog’s life!

Now I understand.
We babysat a Maltese for two weeks. He belonged to our younger son’s girlfriend. It was so cute and slept under the blankets on my feet.

@DianneN I know, me too. My husband and I have quite a few cats but I'd love to have a dog or two. It always sounds good and if we were to write it down looks good on paper but I have a good idea of the reality of it all.

@betlynfrnds I grew up with cats and dogs, and so did my kids.
We lost Doodles the cat in November, and I can’t put myself through that again. I’m still mourning his loss.

@wolfgirl569 We had a blonde Afghan Hound. He was huge compared to these little ones and oh, the work!

@DianneN previously I had a long-haired dog and the upkeep was expensive and when she shredded it was big clumps everywhere. I swore that I would never have another long-haired dog. Fast forward to today and I have two dachshund who shed year round. Their hair is so fine that I would now much rather have big clumps over very fine hair.

@DianneN I see what the groomer goes through just with our two dogs. I can't imagine having those pampered pooches done weekly. They are pretty though but too much work.

We used to have high-maintenance Pomeranians; but they were so cute! The dogs you met are adorable too! It's definitely a dog's life.
