Medications are cheap in Nepal

We caught colds while we were in Nepal. Vince got one first then gave it to me. At least, that’s my story. We had taken quite a lot of antihistamine and paracetamol with us but the former was getting down as our noses were running like taps. Vince remembered from previous trips that medications in Nepal were incredibly cheap.
We stocked up on both antihistamine and paracetamol then Vince bought a few sleeping pills as well. We bought 75 of the former and about 25 paracetamol for about $A3.
When we bordered the plane at midnight we each took half a sleeping pill. It was a five hour flight but when we disembarked at Kuala Lumpur, I was quite wobbly. If I bent over, I thought my head was going to come off. I rarely take sleeping pills but at least I did sleep on the plane.
The photo is of a local bus. Maybe others are used to seeing these three wheelers but I’m not. I was forever worrying that they were going to tip on their sides.

It is good that the Medications are cheap in Nepal, so the local people can afford it more. Here the common medications are OK but as to the serious disease like cancer treatment, surgery etc. are not cheap at all. Some can be rather expensive and it is always sad to see that people can't afford it and suffer to die at last.

Meds are also cheap in Canada. We stock up on aspirin with Codeine when there, but never use it.
I’m fortunate to fall asleep easily on flights. I never took a sleeping pill in my life. All I need is a pillow and I’m out!
Those buses look very unstable to me.

Probably the reason why medicine is cheap is because it's near India which is one of the producers of the cheapest medicines in the world.
I had never tried taking sleeping pills, I would probably be afraid I won't wake up. We have lots of three wheelers in the Philippines but perhaps not that size.

I don't take any kind of sleeping aid as I probably would feel all sorts of woozy if I did.
That bus does look like it could tip over.

Meds are extremely cheap for me where I reside, but to get them though..that is another issue.
