I ended up going back to bed after the 4 am wake up this morning. I needed the sleep evidently. My hubby closed the bedroom door and let me sleep. I was in a panic but finally got all the morning chores done.
I popped a cranberry coffee cake into the oven early this morning and it made an excellent fast breakfast along with a cup of coffee. My hubby even ate it and said he liked it and he doesn't care for cranberries.
I am working on notifications again today and will focus on that along with reading more of your discussions. One day I will be caught up...ha, that would be a miracle and I really doubt that will happen. I like to chat too much.
I hope everyone is having a good afternoon or sleep, depending on where you are. I'm actually feeling drowsy and may have to snag a cat nap in.
How is your day going?

How come you woke up at 4am? Was it because your husband got up at that time? The cranberry coffee cake sounds like it could potentially be a tasty treat. I'm not a big cranberry fan, but I'd be willing to give the coffee cake a try.

I just woke up. Had a good night's sleep so I got up. With my back still not up to par, it is better for me to get up and move around vs. lay in bed.
Hubby liked (I almost typed loved-ha) the coffee cake and even made a comment that we did not save him a piece when we had coffee and a slice yesterday afternoon. So apparently he did really like it.

@moffittjc It's much better but not 100%. I'm just not doing any lifting of anything with any weight. I did lift one bay of feed and learned my lesson. That's it. I'll leave the heavy stuff from now on until I know it is healed.

@kareng Glad he like the coffee cake. Make sure you save him a piece next time! How's your back doing? Is it feeling any better? I know what it's like to try and lay in bed when your back is hurting. You're right, it doesn't do any good to stay in bed. I would have gotten up too and got moving around.

Aw--sounds like a nice way to start the morning--even with an early wake up--I am fighting a cold and it is winning

@divalounger Yes, I've used it before and really liked it. It works when other stuff fails or at least for me.

@Tampa_girl7 Amazing what just a few miles will do with the weather!! It was quite nasty and gloomy here. Glad you had a pretty day!

Breakfast sounds good! Glad you could sleep in I do that once in a while. My day is going good. I'm thinking of going shopping for some things not on sale, but needed. I got some shopping done yesterday, so got some essentials like mayonnaise and baby dill pickles...finally got it, for a good price at Safeway. I love baby dill pickles so crunchy and not so big to eat with my sandwiches. The ones I usually get is Delmonte, but it hasn't gone on sale for a while. I like crunchy pickles so when Safeway had it on sale I was hoping to get some when I had the money to do so...just made the sale...yesterday was the last day of the sale.

@oahuwriter Yep, the weather and lots of other global events affect prices. This Corona Virus is going to be another bad event. Stores are packed and shelves are emptying at an alarming rate.

That's good. You know what, I was shopping and there was a couple near by who likes pickles too, and we got to talking. We got our favorites each of us and we look for them on sale. My pickles had a sign so I wasn't worried, but the couple's favorite didn't, so I said I'll ask the cashier when I check out to be sure. It was such a good price, and pickles got expensive recently too. The weather does all sort of havoc on prices too.

This was one fast Monday, I woke up around 8:30am got the kritters and myself fed, logged in then got really tired and ended up taking a long nap. I guess I didn't get a lot of sleep last night and now it's almost 9pm and I'm almost ready for bed
