February 19 - What I'm Thankful for Today

You must be getting tired of these posts by now. How can anyone always be thankful? I am. I'm thankful for so many things.
I'm thankful I was awake to see the dawn. It wasn't spectacular as some have been, but it was nice.
I'm thankful for the air I breathe. You can't see it and most of the time you can't smell it, but it's always there to keep me alive.
I'm thankful for my children, grandchildren, and friends.
I'm thankful for my heart that keeps beating.
I'm thankful for my five senses: Sight, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching. And I'm thankful for common sense and intuition that alerts me when something just isn't right.
I'm thankful for household chores which I did this morning before I came online.
I'm thankful for a place to live, food to eat, a car to drive, and money in the bank.
I'm thankful for my abilities, being able to walk, use my hands, and my intellect. There was a time in my life when my intellect was in question. I'm happy those suspicions were groundless.
I'm thankful for my talents: cooking, baking, seamstress, and writing. I guess that makes me a creative person.
I'm thankful for a nice warm apartment when the wind chills are well below zero. Right now it's not too bad, only -5. This morning it was -14 wind chill. Tomorrow it's supposed to be worse. I'm very happy I have a heated apartment.
I'm thankful I live in Wisconsin where they have snow in winter. We're going to have a heatwave starting Friday through the weekend when temps get back into the 30s. Snow will melt, but that's okay because it's going to snow again Monday and Tuesday.
I'm thankful for all God has given me and another day to live. And I'm thankful for you, my friends on myLot. Are you thankful? Thanks for reading. The picture belongs to me.

Yeah, not very much at all. We only got 57 inches this year and 14.9 inches this month. We sure could use a lot more snow around here. Spring is almost here.
Oh, you were talking about where you live. I'm glad you didn't get much snow.

@dgobucks226 Yes, it would. We didn't get in on the last weather maker that was supposed to give us up to 10 inches. It went way south and around Lake Michigan.

I am not, I always enjoy reading these posts. I think that's a great list of things to be thankful for. I am thankful for family and friends as always. I am thankful that my blood sugars are doing better.

I am thankful that due to praying, I found out that drinking a hot tea is one good way to get rid of head colds and stuffy noses.
