Grandma's Peach Cobbler Smells Delicious

Every now and then I have to make peach cobbler. Still having winter temperatures. Another freeze tomorrow night. Enough reason to bake. I have shared this recipe with you before. It was my Grandmother's one cup cobbler. She used a large can of sliced peaches in syrup (unless you have fresh) flour, milk and sugar. Very easy to make. In a medium bowl, combine flour and sugar. Mix well, then stir in milk. Spoon mixture into baking dish, on top of melted butter or margarine. Pour peaches and syrup over flour mixture. Bake for 60 minutes. Your entire house will smell like peach cobbler. You can add a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. I like it just like it is. Good stuff!

Yum that certainly sounds delicious and different. I get tired of the same things all the time.

Oh wow, that brings back memories. As a teen mom would make it with the peaches from her 3 trees. Knowing mom she probably didn't use any sugar and boy was that cobbler good.

What's your ratio for flour, milk and sugar? And what's the recommended oven temp?

It sounds really yummy and an easy one. We don't get much peach here. But next time I get hold of them, I am going to try it.

Yes, she actually used pear preserves often. She had pear trees.
