We all make mistakes.

I think I may be the best in the Bay Area at restoring vintage loudspeakers and vintage amplifier cases. This isn't hubris (think Achilles). I've talked to "customers," and I seem to be the go-to guy in this area.
But even the best make mistakes now and again. While working on this Fisher cabinet, I glued down some veneer, and let some glue drip into the gap where the metal screen goes.
I hoped for the best and used my $10 pocket knife to remove the glue. It worked.
So now I'm putting Orange Oil on the cabinet and hoping it will look good. The owner "overpaid" me, and I can sense that he has high standards. My goal is to achieve/reach those standards.
Can you think of a time when you make a "mistake" but were able to recover from said mistake?

Just recently I grabbed the sugar when I wanted the flour. Started to pour it. Got it all scooped out then made gravy with the flour

@TheHorse It might be keeping company with my stapler -- still haven't found it.

You are lucky that the mistake can be corrected. When I was a computer programmer, mistakes would give me a headache so I was very careful when writing the program.

@TheHorse sometimes I write the codes in 2 days and solving the mistake takes 3 days.

@Alexandoy Understood. Do you ever stoop so low a to utter an "oath"? I have been known to do so.

We should start a MyLot cook book. We can even include back stories, like how you and Maluse consider my brilliant pasta with garlic, olive oil, and grated Parmesan to be simply a vulgar version of something that's existed for centuries.
I accidentelly garlic apple the other morning. You can guess how it happened.

Oh, I'm always making little mistakes when cross-stitching but I can usually undo them before things get too far out of hand.

Probably but not spring readily to mind. Congrats on being the "speaker guy."

E are always making mistakes. I think that we would be abnormal if we did not recover from them.

I don't recall any such times but I know there have been and I have always been glad when I could correct my mistake.

what day is it, Wednesday? Yesterday I made the mistake of driving into Downtown DC. I knew the best way to go and ignored my GPS saying bad traffic ahead.
i lost an hour. Got there, barely on time, but it was annoying!

That's wonderful you're the go-to guy in the Bay area for restoring vintage loudspeakers and amplifiers.
It's good when mistakes turn into victories.
I'm quite sure I've made many mistakes.
