So many of you already know that tomorrow is my last day at my job and I have to say these last two days are going to be very difficult to get up and come in to work. Other than the two days of pay there is really no reason for me to come in.
I have already transferred all my work over to someone else. I have cleaned out my personal things which was not much anyways. I will be just opening new tickets under one of the guys that will still be here a little longer. Other than that I will just be waiting out my time to go home.
I've been here almost 4 years but I'm not emotional about leaving. I know some people get emotional about leaving a job. I never really became "friends" with anyone here. I have been scuba diving with my manager many times but we were diving before I got this job, he is actually the one that told me about the job and hired me. We will continue to dive a few times a year I'm sure. As for the rest of the people, I have never hung out with them outside of work.
I hope you all have a good day. I'm really looking forward to the weekend and getting on with the next chapter of my life.

@Bensen32 It's a plus to have a good working environment, I think just the job and the money is not enough sometimes to make us look forward to go to work every morning. It depends on the person though, each one of us is looking for something different.

@besweet well that is true I guess getting along with the people you work with I think is important but I go to work to make money not really to make friends. I guess if I become friends with them that makes it better but I figure part of the money I get paid is paying me to get along with everyone that I deal with in the job.

I hope a new job happens quickly. I've been in this position and it's not fun.

I never felt any sentiment when laid off of my job of 10 years. I embraced the "vacation" but at the time, thought getting work would be easy.
